March 2026 — Atlantis Coffee

An interview with Atlantis Coffee

What's one thing we should know about you?

We started in 2022. We’re a coffee company that focuses on sustainability as much as possible. We donate to improve the habitats of marine life (hence the name!) with every order.

What excites you about coffee?

We roast 2 coffees — espresso and filter. Stripping back our offering allows us to really focus on the sustainability side of things, and for the time being, we're donating to restore the habitat of tiny reef fish. The minimum prices cover our costs, but we don't keep any of the profits from Atlantis - it all goes directly to clean the ocean.

If you could recommend one song to listen to while drinking your coffee, what would it be?

Yellow Submarine by The Beatles.

Papua New Guinea and Ethiopia

What's your favourite thing about this coffee?

This coffee is a well-rounded, approachable coffee that is easy-drinking. Perfect for cutting through milk, but also delicious without.

Maximus from Fallout. Strong, resilient, warm, and fully present.

What's one interesting fact about where this coffee was grown?

This blend features coffees from Central and South America, Papua New Guinea, and a smaller portion from East Africa. Coffees from Papua New Guinea are often grown at mid- to high elevations, producing a balanced cup with medium body, gentle acidity, and natural sweetness.

Filter

Ethiopia

What's your favourite thing about this coffee?

It’s sweet and vibrant.

What fictional character does this coffee remind you of?

Dr. Trinity Santos from The Pitt. Layered, complex, confident, precise.

What's one interesting fact about where this coffee was grown?

Due to limited road infrastructure and high altitudes, parchment is often air-freighted to Goroka for hulling and dry milling before export. The unique microclimate, high elevation (1,600–2,000 masl), and traditional washed processing contribute to this coffee’s bright acidity and complex flavour profile
