About the Coffees

Espresso

Seasonal Espresso Blend

Okalu, Papua New Guinea + Farroupilha, Brazil

What's your favourite thing about this coffee?

Good balance of chocolate body with hint of plum and notes of vanilla and hazelnut.

What fictional character does this coffee remind you of?

Luffy Gear 4. Full body, and strong as a rich espresso and smooth when paired with milk.

What's one interesting fact about where this coffee was grown?

Okalu, Papua New Guinea: Higher standards demand great care in farm management, harvest and post-harvest practices. Smallholders hand-pick, wash and float cherries to clean and sort perfectly ripe selections. Cherries are hand pulped the same day before going into fermentation tanks for 24-36 hours. Once fermented, coffee is washed with clean water.

Filter

Buhoro Village

Kirorero, Rwanda

What's your favourite thing about this coffee?

Notes of pineapple and citrus juice but clean finish.

What fictional character does this coffee remind you of?

Roronoa Zoro. This coffee is juicy, sharp, flavourful.

What's one interesting fact about where this coffee was grown?

One part of the coffee production that's unique to Rwanda is the drying process. This step of production allows coffee to be further sorted, by picking out any under-ripe beans, pulper-nicked coffee, fruit skins, or beans that may have been soured in fermentation. Coffee beans are then set on elevated drying tables where they sit, covered, for 15-20 days. This allows beans to dry at a rate that will not crack under the sun's heat.
